Brisk Teaching Raises $15 Million to Transform Classroom AI Technology

As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more integrated into educational systems, Brisk Teaching, a California-based company, has successfully secured a significant $15 million in a Series A funding round. The investment highlights the growing role of AI in K-12 education, particularly as schools strive to address teacher shortages.

The funding round was spearheaded by Bessemer Venture Partners, with contributions from established investors such as Owl Ventures, South Park Commons, and Springbank Collective. The capital raised will be utilized for expanding Brisk’s market reach and developing personalized support for students.

Brisk Teaching emphasizes the potential of its AI tools to assist educators in various tasks, including designing lesson plans and identifying AI-generated homework submitted by students. According to the company, its technology is currently utilized by over one million teachers across more than 100 countries worldwide.

In a statement, Arman Jaffer, the founder of Brisk Teaching, remarked, ‘Across every industry, generative AI will automate most digital work in the next decade. In education, this shift will be uniquely positive, freeing teachers to focus on what matters most: building authentic relationships with students.’

Moreover, Brisk Teaching aims to tackle the historical teacher shortage exacerbated by burnout. Their tools promise to save educators up to 10 hours a week, effectively alleviating some of the stresses associated with classroom management.

This recent funding follows previous news in September when Brisk raised $6.9 million in seed funding. The momentum reflects the heightened interest in AI applications within educational contexts, prompting swift adaptations among schools as they seek to leverage innovative solutions.

With a partnership established with more than 2,000 schools over the past year, Brisk Teaching is actively shaping the future of education technology, ensuring that educators have the resources necessary to thrive amidst ongoing changes.
