will.i.am, acclaimed frontman of the Black Eyed Peas, has ventured into the world of technology and education, launching his latest innovation – the FYI App. At the recent ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego, he emphasized, ‘Technology is my heart,’ aiming to make a meaningful contribution to computing.

With a smartphone in hand, will.i.am showcased the capabilities of the FYI App, engaging in an interactive demo where he posed questions to an AI companion, which provided real-time verbal responses. This innovative platform emphasizes educational enhancement through AI technology.
Partnership with Arizona State University
ASU President Dr. Michael Crow highlighted the significance of this collaboration, describing will.i.am as the ‘secret ingredient in this emerging technology.’ The partnership, dubbed FYI EDU, will see implementation commence this fall.
Impact on Communities
Originating from Boyle Heights and founded on his experiences, will.i.am’s non-profit i.am Angel Foundation has introduced a STEAM and robotics program in collaboration with LA Unified School District, stressing, ‘Tomorrow’s entrepreneurs will come from those communities.’
