Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam emphasized that “its gonna give us the tools to maintain our roads, take care of our roads. In using this AI technology, Hartford is on the cutting edge of innovation when it comes to potholes and the basic services that residents want.” The program’s annual cost is estimated at $40,000, but officials believe the benefits will significantly outweigh this investment, leading to more durable roads and cost savings in the long run.
