New Capabilities Include Automated Workflows, Communications
SAN ANTONIO — With a focus on artificial intelligence and workflow automation, transportation technology developers introduced new software products and services aimed at enhancing third-party logistics operations during the Transportation Intermediaries Association’s (TIA) 2025 Capital Ideas Conference.
On April 9, at TIA’s second annual media day event, approximately 20 companies unveiled capabilities aimed at boosting worker efficiency and helping logistics adapt to a dynamic freight market.
More than half of the participating technology vendors reported investments in AI functionalities or virtual agents designed to automate manual processes, enhance communication with third parties, and provide valuable insights into market conditions.
Among the highlights:
- CloneOps.ai: Launched an AI-powered communication platform, automating phone calls, emails, and texts for logistics firms. Kyle Richards, the vice president of sales, stated, “Automating these interactions allows workers to accomplish more and increase productivity.”
- McLeod Software: Announced the upcoming release of its AI feature, MPact.RespondAI, on June 1. Doug Schrier, vice president of growth, noted, “AI can accelerate communications, helping carriers and brokers boost productivity.”
- Qued: Expanded its appointment scheduling capabilities to additional market segments, with President Tom Curee emphasizing their focus on “revolutionizing how appointments are scheduled.”
- HappyRobot: Introduced Bridge, a platform designed to streamline logistics workflows, allowing users to connect AI workers across various tasks.
- Pallet: Revealed CoPallet, an AI workforce software that automates repetitive logistics tasks. Jason Feng, head of marketing, described it as a digital logistics coordinator.
- FleetWorks: Showcased its AI-powered virtual carrier representative, highlighting the potential of AI in freight negotiations. CEO Paul Singer stated, “AI is a significantly better negotiator than most humans.”
As the conference progressed, additional innovations were presented that promise to optimize logistics operations and enhance communication efficiency, underscoring an exciting future for the industry driven by AI technology.
