Calculus Group Joins Forces with HRDS India for AI-Driven Rural Development
In a landmark agreement, technology solutions provider Calculus Group has entered into a memorandum with NGO HRDS India, committing to deploy AI-enabled tools to enhance digital ecosystems in rural regions.
The Rs 1,000 crore initiative aims to fulfill various projects in the domain of rural development, utilizing technology to drive social enablement.
‘Through this collaboration, we aim to replicate our successful strategies in urban technology deployment within rural contexts’, stated Sooraj Vasudevan, Founder and CEO of Calculus Group. He emphasized the need for essential infrastructure such as data connectivity and devices to facilitate digital payments in these areas.
Vasudevan further elaborated, ‘Our effort will include healthcare, education, and skill development sectors. The goal is to bring cutting-edge technology to the rural population over time.’
HRDS India will finance the deployment of technology based on specific needs outlined for each particular area, ensuring that the project caters to unique local requirements.
