Swave Photonics Raises $28.3 Million for Holographic Displays

Swave Photonics, a Belgian company known for its innovative holographic display technology, has secured $28.3 million in Series A funding. This investment aims to accelerate the development of their Holographic eXtended Reality (HXR) platform, which presents high-quality 3D holographic images tailored for AI-powered augmented reality smart glasses and heads-up displays.

The funding round, co-led by Imec.xpand and SFPIM Relaunch, included participation from new investors such as the EIC Fund and Murata Electronics. Following a successful $10.47 million seed round in 2023, Swave is now set to showcase its advancements at CES, where it has been recognized with a CES 2025 Innovation Award for World-First Holographic Display Technology for Augmented Reality.
