This innovative technology monitors resin temperatures and adapts heat inputs in real-time, resulting in energy savings of up to 40% compared to traditional operational methods.

Introduced in March 2025 at the PTXPO 2025 in Rosemont, Illinois, the system utilizes artificial intelligence to automatically adjust to varying operating rates and material conditions. Conair emphasizes that this hands-free operation requires no direct operator intervention, making the process both efficient and cost-effective.

The AI system conducts real-time monitoring of various components such as throughput variations, material temperatures, moisture content, and airflow. Unlike traditional systems that rely on manual damper adjustments, the ResinWorks with Optimizer features AI-driven logic to ensure that only active hoppers receive airflow, thereby optimizing the entire drying process.

“This intelligent system continuously assesses and adjusts airflow based on real-time data, allowing us to maintain optimal drying conditions without human oversight,” Conair states. “Once the desired temperature is achieved at the bottom of the hopper, the AI manages airflow to suit processing rates, ensuring efficient energy use throughout the operation.”
