Las Vegas, CES 2025 – HERE Technologies, a global leader in mapping and location technology, has announced the launch of SceneXtract, a cutting-edge software tool designed to streamline the process of recreating real-world environments for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD) simulations. This development is a result of collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Innovative Solution for Simulation Challenges
SceneXtract addresses one of the most challenging aspects of ADAS and AD development: the manual effort involved in searching, locating, and converting real-world environments into simulation-ready scenes. The tool leverages HERE HD Live Map, a cloud-based service that provides precise and continuously updated mapping data.
Efficiency Through AI
Utilizing AWS’s natural language processing (NLP) and generative AI technologies, SceneXtract allows developers to efficiently locate and export HERE HD Live Map data into scenes formatted in OpenDrive, significantly reducing the time and effort traditionally required for simulation preparation.
