Introduction to Tally’s Deployment
Northeast Grocery has introduced Simbe’s Tally robot in select locations of Price Chopper, Market 32, and Tops Friendly Markets. This AI and automation solution is now operational across various markets in New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
Benefits for Customers
According to Scott Kessler, EVP and CIO at Northeast Grocery, Tally’s autonomous technology will navigate store aisles, scanning shelves to identify out-of-stock items and pricing discrepancies. This results in more accurate pricing at checkout and improved product availability for customers.
“For shoppers, Tally’s impact will be huge – up to ten times more out-of-stock items identified compared to manual checks, and a 90% improvement in pricing accuracy.”
Advantages for Store Teams
Tally will streamline operations by handling repetitive tasks like shelf scanning, allowing staff to focus on customer service and other high-value activities. This enhances store efficiency and customer satisfaction.
