Kingdee Integrates AI to Revolutionize Business Operations
Kingdee International Software Group, a major player in China’s enterprise software market, is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to reshape its business management solutions. In a statement on March 18, company officials highlighted how their new tool, DeepSeek, is making it more affordable for businesses to adopt large language models.
George Liu, Kingdee’s vice-president and head of research and development, remarked, ‘DeepSeek is a groundbreaking product. It’s open-source and accessible to all, which brought significant benefits for companies like Kingdee and our clients.’
As one of China’s largest software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers, Kingdee announced the integration of DeepSeek models into its offerings last month, enhancing capabilities in finance, human resources, and supply chain management.
Additionally, Kingdee has launched a platform called Cosmic, allowing enterprises to build customized AI agents based on the DeepSeek models. The company’s stock has experienced an impressive rise of approximately 90% this year.
Kingdee president Zhang Yong noted, ‘Before DeepSeek, software vendors’ abilities were limited. Not every company has the investment resources to develop large AI models, and if you integrate other models, they’re usually very expensive.’
According to company founder Xu Shaochun, the emergence of DeepSeek has ‘broken AI hegemony,’ providing Kingdee with self-sufficiency and control over its technology.
As businesses become more reliant on technology, Kingdee’s advancements reflect a broader trend towards integrating AI across industries, promising greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
