MKE Tech Hub Coalition Launches AI Program for Manufacturers

The MKE Tech Hub Coalition Initiates AI Integration Program for Manufacturers

The MKE Tech Hub Coalition, a nonprofit organization focused on enhancing the tech ecosystem and developing tech talent, has announced the launch of a new program aimed at assisting mid-market manufacturers in adopting artificial intelligence solutions.

Named the Synapse program, this initiative targets small and medium-sized manufacturers who are in danger of lagging behind as technology continues to advance rapidly.

“While large manufacturers have the means to navigate emerging technologies, mid-market manufacturers often find themselves without the necessary expertise and support to keep up with these technological changes,” said Kathy Henrich, CEO of MKE Tech Hub Coalition. “Synapse aims to empower these essential businesses to effectively evaluate and implement AI solutions that enhance real business value.”

The program will provide four main services: strategic advisory services, executive education, proof of value implementations, and peer learning networks. Through Synapse, industry experts, educational institutions, and technology firms will collaborate to support manufacturers throughout their AI journey.

“What differentiates Synapse is our emphasis on practical, business-focused AI adoption,” said Sanjay Mohan, executive director of AI strategy at MKE Tech Hub Coalition. “We prioritize helping manufacturers identify pressing business challenges, determining how AI can bring measurable enhancements in efficiency, quality, and competitiveness. This minimizes implementation risks while speeding up the time to value.”

Several companies are already part of the Synapse initiative to provide their insight and expertise. Notable participants include Milwaukee-based AI consultancy Midpoint Consulting, North Carolina’s 100 Joules, Chicago’s Ensylon, and Brookfield’s Concurrency.

Expanding from its North Carolina base, 100 Joules intends to establish a local presence in Milwaukee by 2025, recognizing the city’s industrial heritage and innovative leadership as strategic advantages for expansion. “Milwaukee offers the ideal environment for 100 Joules’ growth. This partnership will connect manufacturers with leading-edge technologies, enabling them to experiment and invest in transformative solutions,” stated Tom McFadyen, CEO of 100 Joules.

Manufacturers interested in joining the Synapse program can reach out to the MKE Tech Hub Coalition for an initial consultation to discuss their unique challenges and identify the most advantageous services offered by Synapse.
