In 2024, SkySelect‘s Procurement AI technology entered a new phase of adoption, revolutionizing aircraft materials procurement. This innovative technology signals a transformative shift in how transactions for aircraft parts occur.

The company has reached a significant milestone by processing over US$5 billion in aircraft parts transactions since its launch. In just the past year, SkySelect facilitated US$1.5 billion in transactions driven by major partnerships with airlines, including JetBlue and Avianca.

SkySelect’s Growth and Adaptation

SkySelect has tripled its number of airline and MRO partners, recognizing the critical need for a balanced ecosystem in aviation procurement. With over 3,000 suppliers, SkySelect addresses routine, urgent, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) parts requirements.

In response to the evolving aviation landscape, SkySelect has integrated with numerous partners, enhancing its user capabilities to ensure seamless transaction processes.

The Rising Importance of AI in Aviation

The aviation industry is increasingly leveraging AI, which has become integral for modern operational efficiency. The global AI market in aviation is projected to grow at an impressive rate of 35.38% between 2022 and 2030. Economic pressures have spurred airlines to adopt advanced technologies, enabling them to streamline operations amid ongoing challenges.

“Airlines must revise their operational methods. Technologies such as Procurement AI have shifted from optional tools to essential instruments for success in this environment,” stated Erkki Brakmann, CEO of SkySelect.

Brakmann emphasized notable results shared by customers, indicating savings of 20% and efficiency gains of up to five times, showcasing the benefits of digital transformations in aviation.
