Notable speakers included Julie Bays, co-chair of the ABA Techshow Planning Board, and Brett Burney, principal at Burney Consultants, among others. These experts emphasized the transformative impact of technology, specifically artificial intelligence, in the legal field.

Unlocking Legal Potential with AI

Bays introduced Descrybe.ai, an innovative legal research tool harnessing generative AI to streamline complex legal information. This platform competed in the Startup Alley competition, showcasing the potential for AI in enhancing efficiencies within legal practices.

Other highlighted tools included Gamma.app for creating visually appealing presentations from notes, and Jotform, which converts forms into functional AI agents. The session also covered practical tips to boost workplace productivity, such as mastering keyboard shortcuts and optimizing PDF document handling.

Embracing Technology for Everyday Life

The discussion extended beyond legal applications. Henley hilariously shared his experience with PDFcandy.com, a site matching users’ needs to unlock PDF security effortlessly. He quipped about the challenges of common technologies, urging attendees to keep their devices clean and effective.

Innovations for Personal Convenience

Among the crowd favorites was the BedJet, a temperature-regulating system for beds, particularly beneficial for users experiencing discomfort due to menopause. This technology exemplified how smart gadgets can improve everyday comfort and health.

A Range of Tools for a Variety of Needs

From First Alert’s long-lasting smoke detectors, preventing sleepless nights from chirping alarms, to the Bissell Aeroslim vacuum and Wieman disinfectant wipes for maintaining tech hygiene, the session reinforced the notion that tech can simplify various aspects of life.

Looking Ahead

As the ABA Techshow continued to unfold, participants were encouraged to integrate these technologies into their lives for better efficiency and comfort. The emphasis was clear: let technology enhance not just legal work but our daily routines as well.
