Data intelligence platform Statista has projected that the Thai GenAI market will reach approximately $180 million in 2024, with an impressive annual growth rate of 46.5%. By 2030, this figure could soar to $1.77 billion.

Juhi McClelland, managing partner for IBM Consulting in Asia-Pacific, pointed out that while general-purpose large language models (LLMs) have their advantages, SLMs can offer cost efficiencies by reducing computing needs for specialized industries.
According to McClelland, scaling GenAI requires businesses to select appropriate models tailored to their specific use cases, considering performance, cost efficiency, and trust.
