The Rise of AI: Tech Data Partners with Dell and Microsoft to Drive Innovation

Tech Data Partners with Dell Technologies to Drive AI Adoption

Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX Company, has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dell Technologies to inaugurate the Dell AI Factory in India. This initiative aims to offer a comprehensive platform that provides products, solutions, and services designed to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across various sectors.

The collaboration includes the establishment of a Center of Excellence where Dell can demonstrate practical use cases and showcase product capabilities. Through this partnership, Tech Data and Dell plan to work closely with leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to deliver pre-validated, end-to-end AI solutions.

These solutions will effectively integrate Dell’s advanced hardware with specialized software, thereby simplifying AI deployment for partners and enabling them to confidently engage with customers while addressing rapidly evolving market requirements.

Supporting Partner Growth with AI Training

To further assist its partners, Tech Data has introduced the Destination AI program, which will offer comprehensive training, technical assistance, and both pre- and post-sales services. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the AI readiness of partners and fostering sustainable business growth.

“We are excited to strengthen our partnership with Dell Technologies and introduce the Dell AI Factory to Channel Partners,” stated Sundaresan K., Vice President and Country General Manager of Tech Data Advanced (India) Private Limited.

“India’s AI market is expanding rapidly, and partners are eager to capitalize on the immense opportunities it presents. The Dell AI Factory, combined with our Destination AI program, is designed to equip them with the advanced tools and capabilities needed to meet this growing demand and deliver cutting-edge AI solutions to their customers.”

Enhancing the AI Ecosystem

To bolster the AI landscape, Tech Data intends to onboard additional ISVs, enhancing the Dell AI Factory’s offerings with specialized software that complements Dell’s technology. This strategy aims to improve adaptability to the unique needs of various industries.

“At Dell Technologies, we are committed to driving innovation that simplifies and accelerates technology adoption,” remarked Vivek Malhotra, Senior Director & General Manager, India Channels, Dell Technologies.

“Our collaboration with Tech Data to launch the Center of Excellence in India reinforces this commitment, providing channel partners with a solid platform to deliver customized AI solutions seamlessly. By integrating our expertise through Dell AI Factory and advanced hardware solutions, we equip our partners with the essential tools to tackle diverse industry challenges and explore new growth opportunities in the AI era,” Malhotra concluded.

Microsoft’s Commitment to AI Investment

Alongside Tech Data and Dell’s initiatives, Microsoft is also making substantial investments in AI. The tech giant has announced plans to invest approximately $80 billion in fiscal 2025 to develop data centers focused on training AI models and deploying cloud-based applications.

This significant investment follows the surge in demand for AI capabilities spurred by the launch of OpenAI’s ChatGPT in 2022, with companies across various sectors aiming to integrate AI into their products and services.

Brad Smith, Microsoft’s Vice Chair and President, highlighted, “Today, the United States leads the global AI race due to the investments of private capital and innovations by American companies of every size, from dynamic start-ups to established firms.” }}
