Among the key appointments is Michael Kratsios, who will serve as the director for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). Kratsios previously held the position of chief technology officer in the previous Trump administration and has extensive experience in defense technology.
‘As of now, my administration will focus on harnessing the potential of A.I. and positioning the U.S. as a leader in this critical domain,’ Kratsios mentioned. His extensive background in technology policy makes him a strategic choice for this role.
Lynne Parker has been appointed as the executive director for the President’s Council of Advisors for Science and Technology (PCAST). Parker has played crucial roles in national policy for A.I. and was an associate vice chancellor at the University of Tennessee.
Additionally, Trump outlined plans for a new advisory group, termed the ‘Crypto Council,’ composed of prominent figures from the cryptocurrency sector. This council aims to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of digital assets, with Bo Hines serving as executive director. Hines, known for his prior candidacy for Congress, brings a diverse background to the team.
Trump also announced Sriram Krishnan as the senior policy advisor for the OSTP, indicating his role will focus on maintaining American leadership in A.I.
