As organizations increasingly embrace AI tools such as ChatGPT and Llama, the challenge of safeguarding sensitive business information becomes more critical. Recently, Wald.ai announced their new data loss protection platform, launched on December 10, designed to address these concerns.
The Wald Context Intelligence platform aims to facilitate safe interactions between businesses and AI assistants. It employs contextual redaction to sanitize sensitive data from these communications, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. In an official statement, Wald.ai explained that their system removes any proprietary information before it reaches the AI, allowing for intelligent data substitutions. This ensures that even while optimal AI responses are generated, sensitive information is kept secure.
Wald.ai emphasizes that their platform integrates generative AI seamlessly into everyday workflows. Its end-to-end encryption means that sensitive user data remains inaccessible even to Wald itself. Additionally, organizations can create secure Custom Assistants tailored to their internal knowledge bases.
CEO Vinay Goel highlighted a proactive approach in the face of rising risks: ‘As companies face the risk of data leakage, the solution is not to block the use of these platforms, but to put in place effective, user-friendly guardrails to enable employee productivity,’ he said.
Wald’s platform is already gaining traction in sectors like healthcare, finance, and legal services. Notable customers include Kiavi, a bridge loan provider for real estate investors, and Suki, which offers AI-powered voice solutions for healthcare. Priced competitively at $19.99 per user per month, new customers can test the platform with a 14-day free trial, and developers can seek early access to the Context Intelligence API.
The company also announced it successfully secured $4 million in seed funding from Inventus Capital, Entrada Ventures, and various angel investors, paving the way for further innovation in data privacy solutions for AI.
