Introduction to Adobe’s AI Video Tool

Adobe is set to launch a groundbreaking generative AI-powered video creation and editing tool later this year. This innovative tool, named the Adobe Firefly Video Model, will initially be released in beta and is designed to enhance Adobe’s suite of creative applications.

Features of the Adobe Firefly Video Model

The Firefly Video Model will enable users to generate five-second video clips from a single prompt, interpreting both text and image inputs. Users can also customize the camera angle, panning, motion, and zoom. Alexandru Costin, Adobe’s VP of generative AI, emphasized the model’s high-quality output and its ability to adhere to videographers’ guidance better than other AI video models.

Training and Content Sources

Adobe has ensured that the video model is trained on public domain or licensed content, avoiding any customer content. The training database includes 400 million images, illustrations, and videos from Adobe Stock, all curated to exclude intellectual property or recognizable characters.

Additional Features and Customer Feedback

Adobe is also introducing Generative Extend, a feature in Premiere Pro that can extend existing clips by two seconds. This tool, previewed in April, has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from users.
