Canary Technologies Secures $50 Million in Series C Funding
Canary Technologies has successfully raised $50 million in a Series C funding round. This significant investment aims to bolster the company’s deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) within the hospitality industry.
Expanding AI Capabilities
Canary Technologies offers a comprehensive Guest Management Platform and is introducing guest-facing AI. With the new funding, the company plans to expand its team, accelerate its roadmap, and enhance its AI capabilities across the hospitality sector.
“AI is transforming the way we live, work and travel,” said Canary CEO and co-founder Harman Singh Narula. “Canary is at the forefront of delivering enterprise-grade hospitality AI solutions that empower hoteliers to streamline operations, boost efficiency and elevate the guest experience.”
Leading the Investment
The funding round was led by Insight Partners. Canary’s Guest Management Platform digitizes everything from post-booking through checkout, serving over 20,000 hoteliers in more than 80 countries.
Comprehensive Hotel Management Software
Canary’s Hotel Management Software includes features such as Contactless Check-In/Checkout, Tablet Registration, Upsells, Guest Messaging, Canary AI, and Digital Tipping. These solutions help hoteliers eliminate paper-based processes, boost revenue, increase staff efficiency, improve the guest experience, and reduce chargebacks and payment fraud.
Partnership with Adyen
In March, Canary partnered with Adyen to facilitate seamless and secure guest transactions. This collaboration integrates Canary’s platform with Adyen’s global FinTech platform, enhancing payment processing capabilities and redefining digital transactions for hotels.
Technological Transformation in Hospitality
Both hotel operations and the guest experience have been redefined by technology, ranging from online booking platforms and mobile check-in services to AI-powered chatbots and virtual concierge services, as reported by PYMNTS in March.
Other Notable Fundraises
In another notable fundraising event within the hospitality industry, Guesty raised $130 million in a Series F round in April to expand its property management software platform for the short-term rental and hospitality industry.
