Introduction

Healthcare specialists in Jackson, Tenn. are introducing advanced technology to assist patients and doctors.

AI in the Operating Room

West Tennessee Healthcare has officially launched AI technology to aid in the operating room.

“The technology has been around for about 14 years. Qventus is one of the pioneers in integrating AI in healthcare operations, especially in surgery. We’ve been doing this for about 5 years,” said David Astashroo, Chief Medical Officer at Qventus.

Benefits for Patients

Astashroo explains how this technology benefits both doctors and patients by improving surgery scheduling.

“Often, patients have to wait for the next available slot. At West Tennessee, we can now move surgeries up, allowing patients to schedule up to two months earlier,” said Astashroo.

Impact on Surgical Services

Melissa Hayden, Executive Director of Surgical Services at West Tennessee Healthcare, shares the impact of this collaboration.

“It’s exciting to modernize our processes and technology, offering better services to our community and surgeons,” said Hayden.

Successful Implementation

Officials report that AI scheduling, soft-launched in May, has been successful.

“This partnership excites us, and we’re eager to see its growth. Qventus has been a great partner, helping us care for patients better,” said Hayden.

Conclusion

Both doctors aim to enhance patient and surgeon satisfaction through improved communication.
